Sixteen years, from a mobile sync startup to Data Group's software arm
BharatSync didn't start as an outsourcing shop. It started as a product company — and that discipline is still how we build.
2010 — a mobile sync product, not a staffing pitch
Bharat Sync Technologies Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated in Jaipur in December 2010, founded by Dr. Ajay Data. The company's first product was a mobile data-sync engine — over-the-air synchronization of mail, contacts, calendar, and tasks, built to run on ordinary Java-enabled handsets, not just smartphones.
The PCQuest "Top Software Project" award
That product went on to win India's national "Top Software Project" award from PCQuest, presented at an award function in Mumbai. Dr. Ajay Data, founder and chairman, attended to receive it. Judged by public voting and jury selection, the award recognized BharatSync's sync engine among the country's best software projects that year.
2018 — a national deployment with MTNL
In 2018, state-owned telecom operator MTNL launched push-mail services for its Delhi GSM subscriber base in partnership with BharatSync Technologies. The service ran on any Java-enabled GPRS handset — Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, LG, BlackBerry, HTC — and synced mail, contacts, calendar, and tasks through servers hosted in India.

Today — Data Group's software & IT services company
BharatSync is now the software development and IT services company of Data Group — the same family of businesses behind XgenPlus (50M+ mailboxes), ZenithAI, and RajMail. Data Group itself traces back to 1999 as Data Infosys Ltd, part of a diversified family business operating since 1978, and today runs a 3,500-engineer organization serving 800+ enterprise customers, certified ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 20000-1, and CMMI Level 3.
